Monday, April 8, 2024 is Solar Eclipse Day at Edgewood Elementary. A permission slip is being sent home today with your student. This permission slip must be signed and returned by Monday, April 8, 2024 for your student to participate in the event using their provided solar eclipse glasses.
Students who do not return a signed form will participate in alternate activities inside the school.

*Spring pictures are tomorrow 2/14/24, if you purchased them. The photographer will be here on the Edgewood campus in the morning hours. Pictures can be purchased from Lifetouch.com or by sending cash (correct change) in the envelope provided and sent home last week.
*Early dismissal tomorrow 3/14/24 for students at 2:10 leading to Parent/Teacher Conferences from 2:30-6:30.
*Friday 3/15/24 students are dismissed from school. No school, the teachers will be in Professional Development.
*Spring Break week and no school, March 18-22. Have a safe and restful break!
*Monday, March 25 is our first day back at school.
Come on out to Edgewood and join us for the Book Fair! It is open Monday-Thursday of this week, including parent/teacher conferences. Your student can shop during their library class, designated times, and parent-teacher conferences.
Thanks to Mrs. Henson & Ms. McDonald, we had a successful Kindergarten Fine Arts-Arkansas Black History Music & Art Program. The students did a wonderful job with their program. You should see some of the great things going on at Edgewood.

Tuesday – March 5 – “Thing 1 & Thing 2” Wear crazy hair.
Wednesday – March 6 – “Sam I Am”, “Wacky Wednesday” Wear your uniform backwards or inside out.
Thursday – March 7 – “Green Eggs and Ham” Wear a green shirt with uniform pants.
Friday – March 8 – “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” Wear a red, blue or spirit shirt
I recently sent home a sheet for parents to sign up to read if they would like to this week. I have books, please fill out the sheet and return to school, or contact me - Ms. Williams (Librarian).
