In alignment with Act 122 of Arkansas, our district is implementing the Yondr pouch system to create focused, distraction-free learning environments. Starting this school year, student devices will be securely stored in Yondr pouches during instructional time — from bell to bell. Let's work together to keep classrooms engaged and minds on learning! 💡📚

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT for Watson Chapel Families! 📚📵 Starting this upcoming school year, Watson Chapel School District will be implementing Act 122 – "Bell to Bell, No Cell" as part of Arkansas state law. 🔔 What this means: Students will not be allowed to access personal electronic devices (such as cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, etc.) during the instructional day – from the first bell to the last bell. ✅ Why? To promote better focus, fewer distractions, and greater academic success for all students. This change supports a learning environment where everyone can thrive! 💡 Parents, we encourage you to talk with your child about this policy and help ensure they’re prepared. More details will be shared before the first day of school. Let’s work together for a successful, distraction-free year! 🐾

Watson Chapel School District will hold a school board meeting meeting Monday, June 9, 2025 at 6:00 pm located at 4100 Camden Rd, Pine Bluff, AR.

Good morning, parents and scholars, As we look forward to a summer filled with laughter and adventures, the WCHS Beta Club would like to remind everyone that ALL applications are due on June 6, 2025, by 4:00 PM. Parents, please encourage your scholars to complete both the digital application (https://forms.gle/rxeXAqL9rpQCCWwr9) and the physical hard copy(https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UL-g4pXZQLalE_8lUBZ-xj87NYYyHEUmWXQeKvP6m2o/edit?usp=sharing). The hard copy can be hand-delivered to Miss Coleman in Room 501 at the High School or to Miss Lancelin at the Junior High (for 8th-grade students only). Please note that there will be no late exceptions due to the time required for ordering National Beta Club certificates. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance via certified mail and email on June 16, 2025. Please use student email account versus a personal email account. Thank you!

School is dismissed on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.

The makeup exam for AP World History is Monday, May 19 at 8:00 am in the WCHS Library. The makeup exam for AP English 12 is also tomorrow, beginning at 12:00 pm in the library. Bring your College Board login information with you.

Watson Chapel is proud to announce that Takela Moreland has been selected as the district Teacher of the Year!! She will represent the district as our candidate for the Arkansas TOY competition. This week is also Nurse Appreciation Week and Watson Chapel has the best! Tonya Sterling, Stephanie Simmons, and Lakiska Reeves, led by Kim Williams, go above and beyond every day to keep our students healthy at school. The AP Biology exam will be administered tomorrow, May 5, in the TLC Lab at the high school (same building as auto mechanics). Students should arrive by 7:45 am with their photo ID and their College Board login information. See you in the morning!
